Dolphin Charger enters Indian water transport market

Annecy (France), 20th October 2020 – Dolphin Charger has been awarded from Siemens India to supply type approved DNV-GL battery charger for 23 eco-friendly 100 pax passenger boats service. Each boat will be supplied with 2 sets of 24 Volts 200 amp battery charger for redundancy operation. Two Dolphin PRO HD+ 24 volts 100 amp will operate in parallel to supply total 200 amp charging capacity. All units will be supplied with FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) under supervision of customer.

Electric boats procured under the Kochi Water Metro project will begin services from December. The project envisages a total of 78 ferries. Of them, order has been placed with the Cochin Shipyard to construct 23 ferries, each having 100 seats. The rest will have 50 seats. The project is intending to use the inland waterways in and around Kochi.

will provide complete automation and control solution and integrate Dolphin PRO HD+ battery charger in their system.
