Dolphin Charger introduces battery isolators

ANNECY REGION (France), 16 November 2015 - Dolphin Charger, specialist in robust and customized power conversion-and-supply solutions for the recreational and professional marine markets, has today added new accessories to its offer on the leisure marine (coastal yachting) market: a new generation of super-reliable battery isolators.

“Dolphin ISOLATORS are designed to make sure that your start-battery will never be drained out while using power onboard”, says Nicolas Fata, Head of Dolphin Sales since 1996.

Our ISOLATORS are built using Shottky Barrier Diode technology. This guarantees a low forward voltage drop (approximately 0.3V only), together with a very fast switching action, he adds. We offer 7 different models: 4 models with 2 outputs (70A-90A-120A-160A) and 3 models with 3 outputs (90A-120A-160A).

These isolators are to be operated manually. For automatic switching, the Dolphin R&D Team will be developing an Automatic Charge Selector, or ACS, Fata says.

Dolphin Charger started operations in 1995 near the shores of the Annecy Lake in the French Alps. It is now a proud member of the Eight Lakes Group.
