Dolphin Charger’s R&D succeeds at DNV-GL certification

CANNES (France), 11 May 2015 – The Dolphin Charger brand is particularly proud to announce that its team of engineers has obtained one of the highest certifications on the professional marine market: the DNV-GL Type-Approval. The upcoming Dolphin PRO HD+ Range will therefore be ready for uses in the toughest marine environments.

“We received DNV-GL Type Approval for PRO HD+, our next line of professional chargers especially designed for the most demanding marine markets. This is an important milestone in the history of Dolphin Charger, which started business in 1995”, says Pierre Marchi, the brand’s Head of R&D.

DNV-GL stands for « Det Norske Veritas-German Lloyd ». The DNV-GL Type Approval guarantees that the Dolphin PRO HD+ line of products has undergone rigorous testing and meets the highest quality standards in the industry. The DNV-GL is an important quality guarantee for shipyards, sub-contractors in the power industry and major clients throughout the world.

“Charging batteries in marine environments is especially challenging: extreme temperatures and vibrations on vessels and platforms or stand-by gensets can sometimes generate critical situations. We are therefore particularly proud that our PRO HD+ chargers withstood the rigorous testing required for DNV-GL Certification. This further demonstrates the quality and robustness of the Dolphin PRO HD+ Series”, says Nicolas Fata in charge of the Dolphin Charger brand.

Dolphin Charger is a specialist in robust standard and customized power conversion-and-supply solutions for the recreational and professional marine markets.
